About the Item
Carved in relief with fantastic dimension, this vintage panel is shaped by hand from teakwood boards with a pierced mandala design in the style of Thai or Balinese fretwork screens. Concentric circles of foliate scrollwork radiate from a central flower blossom, textured with chisel marks and etched detail. The square panel is gently worn with a light patina and fitted with backing hardware as a wall hanging.
