About the Item

These two ornate 19th Century buffed terracotta wall hangings depict either Demeter or Ceres, Goddess of the harvest. The female centrepieces are surrounded by fruits and scrolls. Each have grains intricately woven into their detailed hair. Dating back to the 1800s, they would be suitable for exterior or interior display. Perhaps watching over a gateway to bring good luck to a garden.
