About the Item
Pottery tiles inlay at a Wenge wood frame designed by the French ceramist Roland Zobel for his workshop Les Cyclades in Anduze the South of France, vintage 1960s. The wall ceramic tiles features 5 tribal art Masks. The original wood frame has a metal fastener to hang the piece to the wall. An original rare piece of the artist Roland Zobel collection.
*Roland ZOBEL was a French ceramicist who studied at the School of Fine Arts in Bourges and at the International School of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy. He then founded his own workshop in Anduze, “ Les Cyclades”, where he made most of his ceramics. His solar creations feature an enchanting bestiary from Mediterranean mythologies. This is a vintage item with very minor wear consistent with a vintage item of this age. No chips or cracks.
