Gorgeous pair of late 19th century French wallpaper panels made in the Chinoiserie revival period of Europe after Jean Pillement (French 1728-1808). The panels have amazing detail with a heavily distressed, and faded patina. Set in patinated gilt wood frames with label from Daniel B. Butler art restoration and framing New York City on verso. The panels are large each measuring nearly 5 feet high. Impressive scale with a desirable aged patina and Asian aesthetic. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Sold as a pair.
