This exceptional 19th-century Grand Tour bronze sculpture is a rare and highly refined example of academic figurative sculpture in bronze, signed on the base Benedetto Boschetti, Roma and dating to circa 1875. Produced by the venerable Roman firm of Benedetto Boschetti, the work reflects the highest standards of classical scholarship, anatomical accuracy, and bronze casting associated with Rome’s leading ateliers of the Grand Tour period.
Faithfully modeled after the celebrated ancient original in the Capitoline Museum, the figure is rendered with remarkable sensitivity and precision.
