A timeless icon reimagined for contemporary gardens and interiors, the BISTRO Natural Chair celebrates 135 years of history. Originally unveiled at the 1889 Paris Exposition Universelle, the Bistro chair quickly became a staple of café terraces. Today, Fermob preserves its charm while introducing a natural wood version that pairs classic design with warm, inviting materials.
The chair features curved slats made of natural beech wood, carefully treated with Textrol®, a natural vegetable oil-based finish that protects against chipping, peeling, or darkening. This ensures that the wood maintains its authentic look and durability even in outdoor settings. The soft tone of the beech beautifully complements the steel flat frame, creating a sophisticated wood-metal harmony.
Lightweight yet robust, the BISTRO Natural Chair is foldable, making it easy to move, store, and deploy wherever needed. Plastic clips secure safe folding and unfolding, while the one-piece steel cross-pieces add stability and long-lasting reliability. Manufactured in Fermob’s historic Thoissey workshops in France, this chair combines craftsmanship, functionality, and timeless style.
