“Oyster" – Champagne Bottle Cover Inspired by the Sea

Our new champagne bottle cover is inspired by the marine world, evoking the soft, enveloping shapes of an oyster. Crafted from premium materials and adorned with delicate mother-of-pearl inlays, Oyster blends the natural beauty of the sea with contemporary luxury. Every detail reflects the iridescent hues of the shell, turning each bottle into a jewel to display as well as to savor.

The cover has been handcrafted by Lorenzo Foglia, a master goldsmith based in Florence. The creation of this piece spanned several months, involving meticulous techniques such as overhang and chasing. The artist started with a cylindrical single piece of copper, working from the inside to intricately chisel each detail. This inside-out approach significantly enhanced the complexity of the task, emphasizing the artisan’s dedication to achieving artistic perfection. The remarkable precision in the chiselling of the horses underscores the exceptional craftsmanship and great attention to detail that defines this exquisite cover.

Artist Information:
Born in Viareggio in 1971, Lorenzo Foglia was raised in his family’s renowned Florence workshop, established by his grandfather in 1935. From a young age, Lorenzo demonstrated exceptional talent in traditional metalworking, learning alongside his father and grandfather.
Lorenzo pursued metal arts while earning a degree in Letters and Philosophy at the University of Florence. This dual education allowed him to master techniques like embossing and chiseling and deepened his appreciation for Italian Renaissance artists.
Lorenzo’s illustrious career includes crafting exquisite furniture and jewelry for European Royal Houses and prestigious theatre and cinema projects. He is a two-time winner of the “Art in a Jewel” competition and currently serves as President of the Silversmiths of Florence. Recognized as a “Master Craftsman” by the Tuscany Region, an “OMA Craftsman,” and a “Master of Art and Craft” by the Cologni Foundation, Lorenzo’s accolades are numerous.

K-Over is the new brand, our covers merge our deep knowledge of champagne, wine, and art with innovation and expertise. We have crafted luxury champagne and wine bottle covers that are innovative, highly customizable, and suitable for a diverse range of occasions. An Insulating Interior that lines the interior of the casing, keeping the bottle at an optimal temperature for at least two hours. Our covers are not only aesthetically pleasing but practical. Pure silver’s resistance to oxidation simplifies cleaning and polishing, while its antibacterial properties ensure safety for use with food and beverages. Apart from their design, one of the characteristics that make our champagne and wine covers unique is that they are reusable by simply unscrewing the bottom cap. They can be reused as often as you want, cleaned, polished, and displayed as a luxury decorative accessory. Covers are suitable for Champagne bottles such as: Moet Et Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Cristal, Pol Roger, Piper, Perrier Jouet, Taittinger, Mumm, Ferrari, Berlucchi. Most of our K-Over are one piece of a kind.
