Shadow Ridge: Tudor Home

Taking inspiration from our clients’ heirlooms and travel trinkets, we curated a collection of spaces that are as dynamic, colorful, and nostalgic as the family who resides within this Arlington tudor home. Collectible plates from around the world were unearthed from kitchen cupboards only to reemerge as a grand art installation in the front entry. The framing of a beloved childhood board game (c. 1913) set the brick-red tone for the media room. The “sunny” disposition of a quilted Sunbonnet Sue came to light along the golden walls of the daughter’s bedroom, while quilting also inspired in the son’s room via the detailed paintings on the vintage ceramic lamps sitting atop brass-clad nightstands. In the end, there was a common thread: a series of spaces bubbling with pattern and texture – the visual vibrations of happy home.
