West End Avenue

This space is a classic pre-war 6 at 325 West End Avenue in New York City. It needed some significant re-configuring to create the open, common spaces that we envisioned for the family. However, this full re-configuration did not come at the expense of the classic details unique to this type of apartment. We maintained or re-gained classic elements wherever possible. When it came to decorating, our clients shared our passion for 20th century design. The furnishings are a unique collection of vintage pieces and custom Made by Mendelson designs mixed with the client s own art. Formality was not the goal here. Efficiency, comfort and sophistication were our objectives. The client wasn t interested in a flashy apartment, rather a well designed space that they could call home.
