About the Item
A true celebration of regal craftsmanship, this 18K gold bangle is a masterwork of Mughal jewellery artistry. Set with vivid natural emeralds, each meticulously recut into pear-shaped faceted gems, the design offers a lush, rhythmic flow of green that evokes the gardens of paradise—an enduring symbol in Islamic and Middle Eastern art.
All emeralds are self coloured and have been enhanced with foil at back, the bangle with come with a certificate ensuring that these are emeralds.
Accentuated with flat-cut diamond polkis, the bangle gleams with antique charm and royal presence. These uncut diamonds, prized for their organic brilliance, are set in the time-honored kundan technique—an ancient Mughal method of embedding gemstones into highly refined gold, once reserved for imperial jewellery. The diamonds and emeralds are all foiled at back which is traditional to this technique, the pieces are foiled at back to give extra glow and lustre to the gemstones and diamonds.
The reverse of the bangle holds a secret for the true connoisseur: delicate hand-etched floral patterns inspired by Mughal jali (lattice) screens and Indo-Islamic architecture. This back detailing is a hallmark of bespoke heritage jewellery, speaking to the devotion and artistry invested into every angle of the piece.
