A Victorian diamond, silver, and yellow gold bangle, comprising old large old mine cut diamond, thirty smaller old cut diamonds, and four rose cut diamonds, set in silver and 15 karat yellow gold.
My favourite thing about this Victorian Yellow Gold and Silver Diamond Bangle and Pendant, is the pretty floral design. What’s yours? Perhaps the sparkling diamonds? Or its convertible design?
This magnificent Victorian bracelet is designed as a diamond-set flower, which can be removed and worn as a pendant. The flower is centred upon a large old mine cut diamond. The old mine cut diamond is bright, white, and sparkly, with excellent colour and clarity. The central diamond is raised in a claw setting, and surrounded by undulating diamond-set petals, each complete with a larger and smaller old cut diamond. The bangle has tapering diamond set sections to the shoulders, which integrate the diamond flower seamlessly into the bangle. The diamonds are bright, white, sparkly, and well-matched with one another. The bangle is in yellow gold and is complete with a concealed box clasp and integrated safety chain. The diamond flower can be unscrewed from the bangle, for wear as a pendant, and is complete with a hinged loop, to which a diamond set bale can be attached by way of a hook. The diamond set bale had been lost to time, so I worked with my jeweller to create a bale which is as close to the original design as possible. The bangle is in excellent condition, and is a piece of true quality. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
