About the Item
This elegant and slim snake bangle was created out of 14K rose gold in the 1880's. The snake will coil itself around a slim wrist of not more than 17.5 cm circumference. The snakes head is set with one round old cut diamond of F:H colour and SI 2 clarity and two small rubies. The hinged bangle is fitted with a safety chain. Snakes are considered as good luck symbols. If the snake' s head is entwined with its tail it symbolises eternity. Snake jewellery with its symbolic connotations has enjoyed great popularity in the second half of the 19th century. The snake is in fine condition.
