Finely detailed antique Victorian double coiled snake bracelet crafted in 14 karat yellow gold (circa 1880s to 1900s).
Red and green enamel adorn the snakes. Some loss to the enamel given the age of the bracelet.
For centuries the snake has represented eternal love and faithfulness. Deeply popular during the Victorian, particularly after Price Albert gifted Queen Victoria a serpent shaped engagement ring. The twin serpents on this bracelet represent duality - the balance between forces such as life and death, wisdom and power or passion and eternity. With 2025 the Year of the Snake the bangle bracelet is a wearable piece of history to treasure now and investment for the future. Worn alone as a statement piece of stacked for an unforgettable look.
