About the Item
We are delighted to offer this charming antique late Victorian/early Edwardian gold bangle made c.1900.
The bangle is made from solid antique 9ct gold and in spectacular fashion. Featuring a central cluster design and an ornate single row of pink garnet topped doublets (GTD) flanking, it presents a distinguished air full of vibrancy and charm.
The hue of the stones is rich and 'candly-like', presenting a truly gorgeous and striking colour with a combination of red/pink hues depending on the lighting.
The manner in which the gemstones have been so finely set displays the high level of goldsmithing/gem setting of the era. The intricate wirework, curvature and angles maximise its reflective surface whilst not obstructing the gems with any heavy claws/mounts.
Owing to such craftsmanship and its overall elegant form, it is stunning upon wearing, especially under natural sunlight, making it a unique, lively and attractive piece. Whether for a collection or to wear with a variety of clothing, this piece would most certainly grace an antique lover's wrist and is a conversation starter in its own right.
The bangle features a safety chain and it is also marked underneath the cluster for 9ct gold.
