Jack Boyd was born in San Diego, California, in 1934. The self-taught artist began sculpting metals at a young age, although he often explores a variety of media and scale. Boyd has received international recognition for his decade-defining 1970's signature spore and bubble bronze jewelry and modernist sculpture. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe. Jack Boyd passed away in 1982.
