About the Item
A beautiful gold and amethyst bangle bracelet from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) period! This stunning 14kt gold bracelet features a carved scrolling design that carries around the entire outer surface of the bracelet, adding wonderful texture and depth. Decorating the outside of the bangle are ten round cut amethysts, which rest in staggered bezel settings. The stones have a luscious natural purple color that looks fantastic paired with the vibrant gold setting. The slip-on style bangle has a smoothly polished interior which is marked with "14K D", denoting the piece's purity and maker. The bangle would fit nicely on an average sized wrist and would look fabulous worn alone or stacked with a group of other similar bracelets!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/2" wide, approximately 2" tall, and has a 7 1/2" circumference. The surface of the bracelet is 1/2" wide and 3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage the gold design or to any of the amethyst stones, all of which are intact.
