About the Item
An absolutely stunning sapphire and diamond bracelet from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold and platinum, the front of this bracelet features 3 distinct rows, which are encrusted with stones. Each row features bead-set rose cut diamonds, which are wonderfully faceted. Overall, the rose cut diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of 1.35ctw. The center of the bracelet features 3 larger stones which are organized diagonally. The center stone in the diagonal line is a round-cut sapphire, which is held within a multi-prong setting and display an incredibly vivid blue hue. The sapphire has an approximate total carat weight of .75ct. The other two, larger stones are old mine cut diamonds, which are also held within multi-prong settings. The diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .60ctw and display H/I color and VS1-VS2 clarity. The back half of the bracelet also features 3 distinct rows, which are smooth and simple. The piece secures with a simple push clasp, and is further secured with a safety chain. The tongue of the push clasp is marked with a small eagle hallmark, which indicates that the piece was crafted in France. An impressive and colorful bracelet, this piece would make a lovely addition to any Edwardian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 3/8" wide and has a height of 2".
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold and platinum setting, and all of the stones are secure and intact. The push clasp and safety chain are both secure and in working order.
