About the Item
A beautiful antique Victorian buckle link bracelet created in silver and gilded rose gold. The flexible band of this bracelet has an openwork design with filigree links and balls on the outside. The inner links have a polished silver patina. The buckle shaped clasp closure is made of gilded rose gold.
In Victorian times, giving a bracelet in the form of a belt buckle, was a symbolic sign of the close relationship between the giver and the wearer. Buckles have also come to represent strength, loyalty and protection. With this beautiful symbolism a wonderful gift to give to a loved one.
The bracelet is in beautiful condition. Marked, tested as 800/000 silver.
