About the Item
A Victorian ruby and diamond cluster ring/bracelet, the oval faceted ruby weighing 0.92 carats, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Burmese origin with no indication of heating, surrounded by ten old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.50 carats, all claw set to an 18ct gold mount and tapering shoulders, with later Bentley and Skinner assay mark for 18ct gold, accompanied by a yellow gold link bracelet with central fitting for the detachable cluster, circa 1890, the cluster measuring approximately 1.3x 1.1cm, the bracelet measuring approximately 19cm long, gross weight 23 grams. This marvellous ruby and diamond cluster ring and bracelet comes from the extensive Victorian jewellery collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. This piece is a perfect example of Victorian ingenuity, featuring a ruby and diamond cluster that can be mounted on a ring or on a link bracelet. The central Burmese ruby is bright and lush, surrounded by a cluster of lively old-cut diamonds. The ring band features a yellow gold split shank, drawing attention to the gorgeous ruby. The ruby and diamond cluster can also be attached to a thick yellow gold chain bracelet, making this piece wonderfully versatile.
