About the Item

An art deco bracelet with five dogs-charms. This is an incredible six-charms bracelet created in America during the Art-Deco period, around the 1925. The beautiful platinum bracelet is attached with six charms, five of them in the shape of different dogs and one, with a kind of monogram or symbol. The figurative charms are masterfully crafted in solid platinum with polished finish and they are; an Irish setter, a poodle, a hound bound, a schnauzer and a German Shepherd. All of them embellished with magnificents pave settings, composed by two-hundred-forty European white colorless diamonds and eight vivid red rubies. The bracelet has very strong movable rings with the charms attached and freely hanging, in addition is fitted with a concealed security oval box with double pushers. The workmanship of this bracelet is masterful with perfect details and precious gems. The bracelet is stamped with five-digit serial numbers, and two charms with four-digit serial numbers. These are very similar and are very likely manufactured by Cartier in the New York boutique. Country: United States. Period: Art-Deco, 1925. Diamonds: The main bracelet is mounted in bezel and flush settings, with 16 graduated European cut diamonds, with a weight of about 1.12 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS clarity. Diamonds: The charms are mounted in pave settings, with 219 European round cut diamonds, with a combined weight of about 2.45 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS clarity. Distributed as follows; Irish setter (28), poodle (50), hound bound (20), schnauzer (20) German Shepherd (49). Diamonds: One charm in mount in millegrain bezels, with 5 straight baguette cut diamonds, with about 0.30 carats. Rubies: The collars of two dogs are mounted in millegrain channels, with 8 French squared cuts and round cuts of natural rubies, with about 0.16 carats. Weight: 27.95 Grams, (17.92 Dwt). Size: 7.5 Inches, (19 Cm). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark inside a lozenge cartouche, the mark for the assay and warranty of the platinum, the five-digits serial numbers and signed as follows; for the bracelet "ST 38606", for two charm "4413", "0133", most probably made by Cartier. Collateral: This bracelet is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Collateral: This charm's bracelet is accompanied by a certificate appraisal prepared by a GIA certified gemologist stating all the characteristics of this piece of jewelry, the exact description of the gemstones and the today's market replacement value. Condition: The overall condition of this Dogs charms bracelet is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage to the platinum. The 248 gemstones are secured in their settings.
