A multi gem-set charm bracelet, the fetter link platinum chain, supporting ten charms, each depicting a different subject, including a whistle, a couple on a see-saw, a cat, a house, a man playing an accordion, a skier, a parrot perched on a ring, a windmill, a jogger and a card of clubs, all variously set with round brilliant-cut diamonds, calibré-cut sapphires, rubies and emeralds, all set to platinum mounts, circa 1950, the chain later hallmarked platinum 950, London 2015, measuring approximately 18.5 x 2.2cm, gross weight 26.7 grams.
This playful multi gem-set bracelet comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. The chain supports ten individual charms. The first charm bracelets were worn by the Assyrians and their popularity in Europe was ignited by Queen Victoria who loved to wear them and often gifted them. This charming piece would add a playful touch to any outfit and would be a unique addition to an evening gown.
This vintage bracelet is in very good condition for its age. Later hallmarked platinum 950, London, 2015.
