Margot De Taxco Sterling Silver Leaf Bracelet
A beautiful sterling silver hinged clamper bracelet by Margot De Taxco, made in Mexico, in a modernistic, stylized leaf design with flat and curved surfaces. This Margot de Taxco design is known as "Silver Leaves", or sometimes "Leaf and Berries". The bracelet is signed on the interior by the maker and also the pattern number 474. The bracelet is solid and weighs 67.4 grams and is in excellent condition including a tight spring.It measures 2 ⅛ within cuff, 1 ¾ inch across. To put on the bracelet the wings open up at the spring to accommodate an average wrist. This bracelet is a fantastic authentic piece of Mexican silver by a renowned high quality silversmith. It looks great alone or stacked. it is a versatile bracelet, which can be worn with an evening dress or casual attire.
Margot de Taxco, was the name Margot Van Voories used when she opened her taller or workshop in Taxco, Mexico. She was considered part of the "gilded age" of silver work in Mexico. Her silver jewelry pieces are fantastic, a classic and elegant choice while at the same time being cutting edge. Today design pieces are highly collectible.I will fit up to a 6 1/2" wrist so small to medium sized.
