About the Item

Cuff bracelet designed by Taller De Los Ballesteros. Beautiful vintage cuff bracelet, created in the city of Taxco Mexico by the Taller De Los Ballesteros, back in the 1970. The unusual cuff was crafted in high relief with modernist patterns in solid .925/.999 sterling silver with high polished finish. This cuff bracelet is a classic and jewelry pieces of Los Ballesteros, from this period are highly collectibles items. Weight: 71.40 Grams, (45.85 Dwt). Size: Fit a wrist up to 7.25 Inches, (18.5 Cm) and can be sized up or down on special request. Measurements: The widest part is is 40 mm (1.58 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark and logo, the mark for the assay of the silver, the city of production and signed as follow: "TALLERES DE LOS BALLESTEROS TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO .925 MM-34". Taller De Los Ballesteros n 1937 Jalil Majul Ballesteros was trained to do filigree work by his silversmith grandfather and godfather in Iguala, Mexico. The Ballesteros family had been silversmiths for generations in Guerrero and Jalil continued their tradition by starting a small family business. In 1941 he moved to Taxco, Mexico and switched to the style of the regional silversmiths. By the 1950's Jalil had expanded and was selling handmade Mexican silver jewelry to tourists in Mexico City, Acapulco, Puebla and Cuernavaca. To keep up with demand, work was farmed out to other family workshops in Taxco. The high-quality sterling silver jewelry produced was stamped with the Los Ballesteros and Taxco symbols.
