About the Damele Turquoise Mine
The Damele Mine (pronounced DAH-mall-ee), located near Austin, Nevada, on the Damele Ranch, is a small, remote deposit celebrated by collectors for its rare, vivid yellow-green to lime-green turquoise, as well as variscite, faustite, and chalcosiderite. Discovered in the early 1970s by Benny Damele and later operated by miners including Clyde Wright and Tony Cotner, the mine’s stones are renowned for their bright green hues, tight dark spiderweb matrix, and durable, glassy texture.
Because mining has always been limited and much of the material comes from older rough, Damele turquoise is extremely scarce, making it highly coveted by gem collectors and jewelry artisans alike. This bracelet offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of this legendary turquoise in a refined and wearable form.
