About the Item
An impressive Navajo-inspired bracelet by Arizona silversmith Kay Johnson, the large oval sugilite is set in a saw-tooth bezel and framed in sterling rope enhanced by thirteen hand-made scrolls that resemble either rays of sunshine or a flower. It is marked with a bent arrow hallmark and stamped 'Sterling.'
Sugilite is thought to be a nurturing gemstone, sugilite offers release from worries. It also promotes positive emotions to help relieve stress, establish peace of mind and emotional healing. To metaphysical adherents, sugilite is a stone of forgiveness and instills the deep satisfaction of all-abiding freedom.

Sterling silver overlay cuff by Hopi silversmith Chalmers Day. The cuff features a pictorial overlay design. The inside is 5 3/4" with a 1 1/4" gap for a total length of 7". Sterling Silver is malleable so it has some give.

Chalmers Day was born October 24, 1956 in Keams Canyon, Arizona. Chalmers was given the Hopi name Dap-Hong-Va, and was born to the Corn and Water Clans. He is the grandson of Robert Satala, Sr., one of the Hopi’s earliest silversmiths and a merchant on the First Mesa in Arizona.
