About the Item
This striking vintage cuff bracelet showcases a monumental specimen of natural Damale turquoise, one of the rarest and most collectible varieties of American turquoise, set into a sculptural sterling silver setting. Bold, elemental, and visually commanding, this bracelet offers a fusion of raw power and refined craftsmanship — a true standout for the serious collector of American jewelry or fine turquoise.
The central focus of this bracelet is a large, high-domed Damale turquoise cabochon, easily among the finest examples on the market today. The Damale mine, located near Austin, Nevada, is one of the most limited-production turquoise mines in the American Southwest and is known for producing an astonishing variety of material — from yellow-green to bright blue, often with high iron content and distinctive matrix patterns.
This particular stone is a classic, top-grade Damale: a vivid blue-green matrix of "polka-dot" clusters suspended in an almost black host rock, creating a high-contrast, naturally graphic pattern that appears almost painted. It is unmistakable, deeply collectible, and often mistaken by the untrained eye for variscite — though much harder and more brilliant. Stones of this size from Damale are exceedingly rare, as most of the mine’s production yielded small nodules or slivers. This is an old-stock, untreated stone — completely natural and professionally polished to a gemmy luster. The exquisite cabochon measures 30mm x 25mm.
While unsigned, the silverwork clearly reflects mid- to late-20th century Navajo artist, Jeff Largo. The bold, sculptural sensibility, stone-forward design and use of this large, extremely rare stone is consistent with Largo's finest work. The sterling silver band is heavy, wide, and shaped with an architectural flow — tapering elegantly while framing the stone with both strength and restraint. Its clean lines and robust construction evoke the best traditions of Navajo silversmithing, where the goal is always to honor the stone — not distract from it.
The finish retains a rich natural patina, suggesting decades of careful wear and adding depth to the piece’s presence. This is silver that feels alive: elemental, unpolished, and tactile. The piece has the kind of unmistakable energy and hand-wrought character that machine-made jewelry can never replicate.
Whether displayed as part of a curated collection or worn as a personal talisman, this cuff has magnetic presence. It is a deeply wearable work of art — one that reflects the enduring legacy of American design and the geological marvel of Nevada turquoise. For collectors of rare American turquoise, this is a must-have.
The interior of the cuff measures approximately 6" with a non-negotiable 1 ⅜ gap. Fits small to medium rist.

Silver Ring American, Circa 1920s

This sleek, graphic turquoise and silver ring was created near the 1920s, and is consistent in design, quality, and materials to rings created by the Zuni nation; however the ring is not signed. And therefore, it cannot be sold as "Native American."
Some people prefer to retain the "patina" almost always encountered on rings created by Native Americans. But this has always puzzled me. When Queen Elizabeth toured Africa and wore her favorite diamond crown, that crown was thoroughly cleaned and polished. I don't recall ever seeing Frank Ghery or Elsa Peretti or Paloma Picasso silver jewelry...
