Rare Vintage Judith Hendler Pink Bypass Coiled Wedge Lucite Cuff
A rare and gorgeous double bypass coiled wedge Lucite cuff by designer Judith Hendler. No signature or label, but it is unmistakably hers. The interior diameter is 2-5/8 inches and the width or height is 2.25 inches. It looks brown in the photo but it is a raspberry pink.

Judith Hendler
Judith Hendler was already a nationally known artist before she started making her unique lucite jewelry. Her paper sculptures were exhibited all over California and in New York City. Hendler, Los Angeles-born, began making jewelry from her husband's discarded acrylic extrusions left over from the manufacture of aircraft windshields and cockpit canopies. Hendler's jewelry distributed under the name Acri-Gems Inc., her brand was soon being sold at Bonwit Teller, Saks Fifth Avenue, Etc. Specifically noted was a piece worn by actresses Joan Collins on the Television series Dynasty in 1985.
