About the Item
In 1981 Robert Lee Morris won the Coty award for his jewelry collection for Calvin Klein and woke the fashion industry up to his high energy presence. He introduced an entirely new color pallet for fashion jewelry by mixing green verdigris, ruddy red copper, matte 24k gold and blackened brass, for a collection the Calvin produced based on the colors and patterns of the Maasai tribe in Africa. This Bagel cuff is a rare copper casting from this fruitful collection, and fits a normal sized wrist. The warm color of this oxidized copper is eye candy. The feeling of the piece is sheer Wabi Sabi, and comfort.
In Japan, Wabi Sabi signifies objects that are worn, aged and filled with soul. The beauty is not in the bling and glitter but in the character of the object, and the feeling of comfort and love it emits.
