About the Item
An immaculate and charming black suede and gilt metal suite of jewellery, highlighted with clear paste highlights by Henri de la Pensee from the 1930s - a hinged cuff, two clips and earrings. A classic example of this distinctive brand with distinctive materials, Henri de la Pensee was a celebrated manufacturer of high end accessories in glamorous Paris of the 1930s, whose pieces are rarely found, particularly in this condition.
Starting with two shops in Paris in the early 1920s, Henry a La Pensee expanded throughout the 1920s to the South of France, opening branches in Deauville, Biarritz, Cannes and Nice. Whilst not a fashion designer, the shops contained a myriad of luxury items from jewellery through to accessories.
