About the Item
An absolutely amazing French cuff bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This bold piece is crafted in vibrant 18k yellow gold, and features intricate starburst-motif engravings, which carry along the entire surface of the bracelet's middlemost panel. The central panel is complemented on both the top and bottom by an additional smooth and simple gold row, which are separated by a row of three-dimensional gold balls. The front surface of the piece features 3 vertical rows of bead-set pearls, which exhibit an incredible milky-white luster. The piece secures with a push clasp, and also features. both a safety chain and figure-eight safety mechanism. The tongue of the push clasp is stamped with various French hallmarks, including 2 small eagles. A bold cuff, this piece would look lovely worn on any wrist!
Measurements: The face of the bracelet measures 1" tall. The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 5/8" wide and 2" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the pearls are securely set. The push clasp, safety chain, and figure-eight safety mechanism are all in working order.
