An antique gold, turquoise, and pearl cuff bracelet with repeating lozenge-shaped cutouts, bridged by diagonal bands of alternating pavé turquoise and pearls, in 18k. In superb condition. Dimensions: 6" inner circumference, 3/4" wide
Given the Victorian predilection for using jewelry to convey sentiment and coded messages, turquoise often evoked the forget-me-not flower and was associated with good luck. Queen Victoria's love of turquoise no doubt contributed to its resurgence in 19th century European jewelry.
