This stylish and striking cuff was created in c.1970 by the couture jewellery maker William DeLillo.

The Details...
This gold plated, hinged clamper cuff is detailed with round, faceted and claw set milk glass cabochons and two melon cut, oval shaped, speckled green glass cabochons. The cuff is hinged, so can fit many wrist sizes. However, when closed, the internal diameter is 6cm making the internal circumference 18.8cm. The piece is signed - on the inside of the cuff is an oval cartouche stamped 'deLillo'.
A Short History...
Belgian designer William DeLillo moved to the United States in 1953 and worked for Tiffany, Harry Winston and Cartier. In 1968, he established his own jewellery design company with Robert Clark, who had previously designed for Miriam Haskell. They established a celebrity clientele which included Liza Minnelli, Elizabeth Taylor, Gloria Vanderbilt and the Duchess of Windsor. DeLillo collections were sold in Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and I. Magnin. But, the brand also created one off pieces too.
