About the Item
New York City designers Delizza
Elster created this eye-catching sparkly colorful chunky heavy six-link gunmetal bracelet in the late mid-century. It is elaborately encrusted with aurora-borealis (AB) foiled crystals in two sizes all set in open backs, with the larger bezel-set "heliotrope" high-domed stones aligned in the raised center of each highly textured inch-deep link.
The additionally textured fold-over clasp and tops of the small curled bands that link the larger pieces match other published bracelets attributed to D&E, which are known as their Julianna line. These pieces had no permanent signature beyond the initial sales tag.
William Delizza
Harold Elster produced costume jewelry between 1947-1990, but only for two years as their own line "Julianna Original". Earlier and thereafter, the designers made jewelry lines for Hattie Carnegie, Hobe, Weiss and Coro, which are not like this bracelet and also included the brand signature of the other company.
One of our photos shows a tiny chip at the top of one stone, which the multicolor reflections diminish.
