About the Item

Irmão Art Deco onyx, chrysoprase, pearl and white enamel openwork bracelet in 19.2kt yellow gold, made in the 1920s/1930s by the Portuguese crown jeweler. This jewel is composed by eight circular chrysoprase chalcedony and onyx cabochons each topped with a white natural pearl, alternating with openwork circular hoop links embellished with white enamel. This bracelet is doubly secured with a click-shut clasp and a safety catch fitting.

Irmão crown jewelers; Lisbon hallmark “tiger II” (used 1887-1937) for 19.2kt (800/1,000) gold; stamped “800” for 19.2kt gold; another unidentified mark. Dimensions: 18.5 x 1.2 cm. Gross weight: 22.9g. Minor losses to the enamel.

Irmão Victorian Green Tourmaline, Diamond and Natural Pearl Bracelet in Rose Gold and Silver, Portugal, c. 1890. This superb bracelet of baroque inspiration by Portuguese crown jeweler Leitão
Irmão is composed of a sequence of four openwork panels embellished with floral and scrolled motifs, each featuring a large circular-shape greenish-blue tourmaline to the centre surrounded by four Old Mine-cut diamonds collet-set in silver. Each plaque is connected to the next through a double fleur-de-lis link accented with a natural pearl. The bracelet is doubly secured with a click-shut clasp and a safety chain fitting.
Owing its origins to the late 18th century, Leitão
Irmão is one of the oldest and most prestigious jewelers in Portugal and the world. Making their mark in the Portuguese empire with their works of rare beauty and refinement, they were granted the title of “Crown Jewelers” in 1887, recognizing their role in creating gifts for family, friends and personalities of the royal family.
This item is in good condition, with marks and scratches consistent with general age and wear. Antique, period and vintage pieces, both signed and unsigned, are being offered as worn.
