About the Item
This is a spectacular antique Victorian lion, panther, leopard or tiger cat Diamond and Ruby Bracelet with three lion heads. The lions are each set with an Old Mine Cut Diamond in the mouth and Ruby cabochons in the eyes in an extraordinary three-dimensional design. There are additional Old Mine Cut Diamonds in two links set in star motif settings on either side of the lions. The bracelet is 10 Karat Gold. The bracelet is one of the most spectacular antique animal motif jewels we have every seen. It is antique and dates to the Belle Epoque, Victorian period. The bracelet has three magnificently modeled three dimensional lions, leopards or panthers with two Ruby cabochon eyes and Old Mine Cut Diamonds in the mouths. The diamonds are radiant gems with the beautiful sparkle of the antique diamonds that we are so fond of. The eyes are gorgeous rubies with wonderful fire engine red sparkle. We love our panther, lion, cat jewelry and this one is the finest we have seen. The repousse raised and engraved gold work creates magnificent images of the big cats with gorgeous details. The diamonds and rubies add such a touch of glamor to the bracelet. The dramatic lion bracelet dances delightfully around the wrist and creates a conversation piece to be passed on for generations. Animal inspired jewels are all the rage today and finding one of this quality is just a dream. The bracelet dates to circa 1860 - 1900.
The bracelet is 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm) long.
The center lion is 20mm by 20mm. The links are 13mm (1/2 inch) wide.
