The ancient Maya thought that at night the sun, as it slips into the underworld, would transform into a jaguar. A powerful predator, the animal was also associated with warriors and hunters, and became a symbol of the might and authority of the rulers.
The animal was see as the ruler of the Underworld and a symbol of the night sun and darkness. There were Mayan priests call Balam who officiated at only the most important ceremonies
Elena Estaún is a restless and creative Barcelonan who trained from a very young age in the best design schools, St. Martin's School in London and Parson's School in NY.
In 2008 he began to market the brand professionally, after working in small New York jewelry workshops .
Elena Estaún 's designs are based on the recycling of industrial pieces which she gives decorative use and turns into jewelry. And these pieces are the result of years of experimentation with diverse and unusual objects such as washers, nuts, screws, keys and hinges , which he skillfully mixes with more subtle ones such as cords, bows, silk or rubber, creating truly special jewelry.
These industrial objects that he transforms into small sculptures are also mixed with metals and natural and precious stones such as gold, silver, copper, onyx or even black diamonds.
The result is jewelry that conveys charisma and luxury through design , for bold and daring women and men, and with which you will not go unnoticed..
