About the Item
We offer a stunning custom made 1930s Hollywood style society bracelet in 14K gold by E.M. Gattle featuring removable dress clips set with 52 round diamonds of 1.65 cts and 22 baguette diamonds of 2.20 cts as well as 2 cabochon and 10 carved sapphires of 9.75 cts. Gold mark and Gattle mark. Comfortably fits a 7 inch wrist.
The E.M. Gattle Co. was founded by Emanuel Gattle in 1890 in New York's theater district, and later moved next to the St. Regis Hotel at 55th Street and Fifth Avenue. They became major competition for Tiffany, and among their society and celebrity clients, was Enrico Caruso, who's name and photograph appeared in Gattle advertising. The firm closed in 1940, and today their items are seldom found on the market.
