About the Item

This elegant bracelet dates from the 1930s and was made in Czechoslovakia. Condition Report: Very Good - A little mottling to the reverse of a couple of the blue glass stones. This is only apparent upon very close inspection and does not detract from the appeal of the bracelet. The Details... This bracelet features oval cut, bezel set, blue glass stones interspersed with bezel set, round, colourless paste stones. The bracelet fastens with a box clasp. The stones are set in a chrome plated brass, which is embossed with floral motifs. The bracelet measures 19cm in length. A Short History... Glass has been a prevalent feature of costume pieces since the invention of fashion jewellery. It's extremely suitable for meeting the ever challenging and changing demands of costume jewellery designers because it's an easily accessible material that can be formed into any shape and dyed any colour.
