Eternally classic, this genuinely antique Art Deco line bracelet is set with over 5 carats of round brilliant cut diamonds. The diamonds in this bracelet are beautifully matched for cut, color and clarity, elevating the finished piece. The diamonds have been graded by our in-house GIA Graduate Gemologist as G color, VS clarity. Made with a true eye towards the jewelers craft, each link is articulated and feels luxurious when worn. The perfect staple in any jewelry wardrobe, this diamond tennis bracelet is the prefect jewel for any occasion, whether it be for a bride on her wedding day, to celebrate your 25th wedding anniversary, or to wear with joy as your daily signature piece.
Hallmarked for 14K white gold, with vintage Dutch taxation hallmarks. Closes with a secure fold-over clasp in addition to a box tab clasp.
A Note on the History of Tennis Bracelets
Now commonly known as a “tennis bracelet,” bracelets in this style actually date back to the 1920’s and were originally known as “line bracelets.” Women of the Roaring 1920’s would stack multiple bangles and bracelets far up their arms in the spirit of extravagance common during this era. It was not until the 1970’s that the line bracelet became known as the tennis bracelet. Three-time tennis champ Chris Evert became known for wearing her diamond bracelets during tennis matches and it was during one match that the accessory flew off her wrist during play; she notably stopped play until it was safely recovered, cementing the name of tennis bracelet.
