About the Item
An Important Art Deco sapphire and diamond bracelet by Yard, consisting of three rectangular-shape flexible panels, each with a central row of calibre-cut sapphires surrounded by a diamond-set border of geometric design, connected by three oval-shaped diamond-set links, the sapphires estimated to weigh 10 carats in total, the old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 11 carats in total, all mounted in platinum, signed Yard, circa 1930, measuring approximately 19 x 1.2cm, gross weight 34 grams.
An Art Deco sapphire and diamond platinum bracelet in very good condition. Unmarked, bracelet tested as platinum and 18ct gold clasp tongue.
This splendid Art Deco bracelet comes from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III and was made by Yard in around 1930. This piece exemplifies the sophisticated Art Deco style of Yard, incorporating brightly hued sapphires and dazzling diamonds in a simple but alluring geometric pattern. The pairing of diamonds and sapphires is classic and timeless, and this highly collectable and beautiful piece has an enduring and lovely style.
