The yellow gold brooch has been modelled in the form of a stylised lion's mask design; this has been determined by the nature of the interlacing wirework decorated setting with subtly alternating curvilinear strands around the mammal-shaped muzzle. The cheeks/muzzle are further ornamented with a total of six individually claw set modern brilliant round cut diamonds, totalling 0.18ct.
