About the Item
An impeccable antique Amethyst and pearl Shamrock brooch.
Rich 15kt gold gives a warm glow to this piece and the brooch has been designed as a three leaf shamrock or clover leaf.
Each leaf is set with the most beautiful rich purple Amethyst, oval faceted cut with an approx total carat weight of 3.60ct, estimated in setting.
The stem and the ends of each leaf are set with creamy seed pearl.
It has an old C type clasp and pin fastener.
A well made brooch with lots of fine detailing.
This brooch can be worn in many ways and is an attractive and versatile piece, it would look great adorning a lapel or cravat or even securing your favourite antique long chain.
The brooch is marked 15ct to the reverse, c1890s, late Victorian era.
