An Edwardian ruby, diamond, platinum and yellow gold brooch, comprising three cushion cut rubies, and two old mine cut diamonds, set in platinum, to a 15 karat yellow gold bar brooch, with 15 karat yellow gold pin and fittings.
This sophisticated Edwardian brooch is set with 3 cushion shaped rubies, held within platinum basket settings. The rubies are a vibrant, reddish pink hue (a strong, luxurious colour) and are well-matched with one another, with one ruby slightly darker. The rubies are interspersed by a pair of old mine cut diamonds. The diamonds are bright and sparkly and are similarly set in platinum basket settings. The rubies and diamonds are set atop a yellow gold knife edge bar brooch, complete with yellow gold C-shaped catch, and hinged pin. A simple, yet elegant 5 stone brooch. The brooch is in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The brooch measures 4mm long, 43mm wide, and 4.6mm deep (excluding pin).
