A yellow gold and pearl brooch, comprising seventeen seed pearls, set in 15 karat yellow gold, with pin and fittings in 15 karat yellow gold.
This stunning brooch is beautiful in its Edwardian design. Fashioned as an elegant crescent moon, this slender brooch is set with graduating seed pearls. The pearls are pale, creamy, and well matched with one another and they have a beautiful shimmering lustre. The pearls are set within pentagon shaped settings, breaking the smooth curvature of the crescent. The brooch is fitted with a hinged pin and C-shaped safety catch, also in gold. The brooch is in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The brooch measures 48.5mm high, 4mm wide, and is 5mm deep (excluding brooch fittings).
