About the Item
The nuance of onyx shading makes the workmanship of this bell pendant / brooch artistic and masterfully created. Under the front lip of the bell is a shadow of rectangular onyx while the clapper has the onyx at the bottom. Can you see the Art Deco period following at its heels? The medium sized platinum and diamond bell is white and bright with small round gems that total approximately 1 ct. total weight. There is one marquise diamond that is the clapper. Being made in c. 1910, the diamonds are old European cut and transitional. The stones appear to be G color VS clarity. There are diamond initials reading SFS that appear to be part of the overall design.Overwhelming in beauty but not in size, the brooch measures 1 5/8 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide at the bell bottom. The weight is 10.6 grams. The price is based on the perfect condition, the age and quality of the stones.
