A Victorian diamond, and yellow gold stick pin, comprising one old European cut diamond, set in 18 karat yellow gold, with a 9 karat yellow gold pin.
This attractive stick pin is set to the centre with a sparkling old European cut diamond. The diamond is bright, white, and sparkly, with good clarity and colour, a rather lovely diamond. The diamond is held within a buttercup shaped claw setting, with elegant, slender claws which reach towards the diamond. This setting (known as a ‘belcher’ setting after a boxer of the same name) allows plenty of light to filter through, and aid sparkle. The stick pin is complete with a yellow gold pin. The stick pin is in great condition, and I believe the head of the pin would once have been a ring. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The head of the stick pin measures 6.8mm wide, 7.1mm long, and 4.5mm deep (excluding pin). The pin is 1.1mm wide, and the stick pin measures 47.6mm long overall.
