About the Item
Antique Victorian painted porcelain brooch in an ornate setting with a cut steel edging. The beautiful painted picture is wonderfully detailed. Measuring length 4.1cm / 1.6 inches by width 3.5cm / 1.37 inches. It has the old "C" hook clasp and tube pin assembly, which works, but is loose. There is wear to the brooch, as expected, and one prong is missing from the setting. We have given the brooch a light clean.
This is a beautiful and unusual antique brooch. A rare find, circa mid 19th century.
