About the Item
An Art Deco platinum, coral, and diamond brooch, comprising two marquise shaped coral cabochons, and fourteen diamonds, set in platinum, with a platinum pin.
This striking brooch resembles a beautiful, elegant lotus flower. To each end, the jabot pin is set with a marquise shaped coral cabochon. The coral is a bright and vibrant coral, creating a striking contrast against the sparkling diamonds. The coral is bezel set with millegrain edged platinum, and a sparkling transitional cut diamond, similarly bezel set, sits at the point of the coral. The coral is flanked by panels set with single cut diamonds, creating a fan-like design which evokes the petals of a lotus flower. The diamonds are bright, white, sparkly, and well-matched with one another. A truly striking piece of Art Deco design. The jabot pin is very much in the style of Cartier. The brooch is fastened by pulling one end of the brooch away from the pin, which can then be re-attached through your garment. The brooch is in excellent condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The brooch measures 8.5mm high, 46.3mm wide and 6mm deep (excluding pin). The pin measures 1.2mm wide.
