About the Item
This carved wood and gemstone brooch by Bettina Gabetti for Trianon is a striking example of the house’s distinctive design vocabulary from the 1980s. Weighing 22.6 grams and measuring 2 inches in diameter, the brooch showcases Trianon’s refined approach to natural materials, pairing warm carved wood with vivid carved carnelian petals and a citrine center stone set in 18k yellow gold.
The brooch is constructed in layered components: two tones of carved wood form the outer petals, followed by hand-carved carnelian petals, and completed with a round faceted citrine held in a four-prong gold setting. The reverse is finished with an 18k gold mounting, stamped 750, the Bettina Gabetti “B” signature, the Trianon maker’s mark, and the copyright hallmark.
This brooch is part of a suite and comes with its original “Bettina’s Flowers” presentation box. A matching pair of earrings is also available, offering the opportunity to collect a full set from one of Trianon’s most recognizable creative periods.
