This brooch dating back to the beginning of the 20th century stands out for the presence of brilliant-cut and pink-cut diamonds, for a total weight of approximately 4.50 carats, set in an 18-carat silver and gold setting, furthermore, is visible the French import mark characterized by an eagle. Of particular importance is the symbolism adopted: the crescent moon, an element which in Greek culture was considered a sign of fertility and prosperity, as it is representative of the start of a new natural cycle, often celebrated on the occasion of rituals dedicated to the goddess Artemis, emblem of hunting and independence, associated with the crescent moon in relation to one of its attributes, namely the silver arch, similar in shape and colour. The crescent moon also takes on, in numerous traditions, the meaning of growth, transformation and favourable fortune.
